I had an absolutely dreadful experience at this restaurant. Despite a lack of staff and a long wait time, the worst part was the staff’s attitude when I inquired about the wait. Despite having a table for six available with no other waiting parties, they refused to seat us because we were only a party of two. After an excruciating 25-minute wait, during which a legitimate table for two was available the whole time, they finally gave us the larger table. It’s infuriating that they could have seated us promptly from the start, sparing us the pointless wait. Despite the tumultuous experience, I must begrudgingly acknowledge that at the end of it all, the staff offered us a complimentary chocolate ice cream worth $2.90. However, while the gesture was appreciated, it hardly compensated for the sheer incompetence and rudeness displayed throughout our visit. This restaurant remains a terrible choice, and I cannot recommend it to anyone.
Wanted to have a simple lunch after a movie and just hopped in to this place... I realised that I've seen this outlets at many places before but have never tried... So in I went.To be fair, it was around 3pm and the restaurant didn't have many people... As I was alone, I ordered a-la-carte instead of any BBQ set. I understand that this place 'specialised' in BBQ but I just don't have the mood that day.Ordered Beef Curry Rice + Miso Soup + Kimchi (side dish) + drink. The beef curry was actually tasty BUT the presentation was... Errr... Plain. No garnish or any prickles. Then the miso soup was... Errr... No effort. Worse than the instant ones I made at home. Sigh... Everything looked so UN-exciting.There's no 'care' in the food.Disappointing and sad. Will not go again.
Terrible service, have to scan your own menu and order when the internet reception is close to none there. When I told the staff I couldn’t access their menu on the webpage for a long time, and asked if they had wifi or an iPad toOrder from, they said no. After all that, I am charged service charge for them literally doing nothing. And when u asked them for extra bowl or spoon, they ask u take yourself. What a waste of my time and money eating here.
had dinner here and was marred by disappointments. the service was painfully slow, and the food took an unusually long time to arrive. the portion sizes were not commensurate with the prices. to the frustration, the staff was unreasonable about seating, claiming a booked table for a group of 6 when, in reality, two separate groups occupied the corner seats?? this inconsistency left me questioning the honesty of the staff and the overall value of the dining experience. i wouldn't consider revisiting this outlet again.

Portion sizes are ridiculously small AND the menu photos are totally deceptive. Food standard is worse than a food court and it’s expensive for what you get.It does not come with standard stuff like lettuce.We ordered an additional 80g of chicken thigh which the menu showed about 14 slices of chicken for $5.90. They served THREE slices and when we asked about it the staff insisted it was correctly weighed without even coming near the table.Staff are no where to be seen most of the time and not helpful not polite or friendly at all.Don’t bother with this chain!
This place is really quite disappointing. No wonder it was so empty during dinner time.There’s different sets to choose from. Chose the full steak set with chicken & beef slices. It was $19.90++Only comes with a thin soup, basically water, salt and a few tiny pieces of wakame seaweed.A tiny portion of kimchi, the slices of chicken is so thin you can see the base of the plate, beef slices are halved and so few also.It’s a total rip off. You also cook it yourself so I don’t understand why the price so high? After cooking the meat also shrunk. So the quantity is very little.Not even includes a salad in the set. Kimchi isn’t a vegetable it’s pickles only.When the table beside me asked for more kimchi, the staff said you must order. They checked the menu it’s over $3 an order. They remarked - so expensive I can buy a whole packet of kimchi.I wasn’t satisfied with my meal, neither were the people seated next to me, I don’t even know them. They also mentioned portion sizes are measly compared to the pricing.The service is very fast but there’s nothing to cook what, just bring the raw food to you.Definitely will not eat here again.
I can the reason why the score is so low after visiting it.Food is below average: the beef steak feels like being refrozen multiple times and tastes not good. The miso soup taste is the same as miso soup package you get from supermarket, don’t think it’s freshly prepared. The rice is somewhat okay, while the portion is the smallest you can get in Singapore.Overall, for $30 you can get much better choices in Singapore, not worth a visit here.I can see the reason why the store only 10% occupied, should just avoid.

Pricey for such small amount of beef. One serving was not enough, so had to order more beef. The most disappointing was the $34.9 wagyu ribeye which was only 80g. 5 small pieces, and was still hard as was direct from freezer. When it was served, could still see the frost on it. Tasted hard & dry. When told the waiter about disappointment, he just said that he wanted to wait longer to defrost but was afraid that I couldn't wait. Whoa! Waiter shouldn't have assumed. He should have informed customer about the situation & let customer decide if customer would like to wait or not. Need to improve communication & service, please.
This chain restaurant has an average rating of 3 stars on google review, and the main reason is that the portion sizes are quite small.The food looks pretty vibrant, and the taste is decent. We ordered three servings of meat, and we still didn't feel full. It's completely different from what was advertised in the pictures, starting from $8.9.If you really want to get full, one person would likely have to spend over $80. In that case, you might as well go for a buffet! Maybe this restaurant is meant for extremely petite girls; I doubt even the chubby cat that lives downstairs from my house would NOT get full here!So, after eating at this place, we went to another restaurant! This one offers very low value for the money!

We arrived at 11.27am to dine, but it’s not open yet. There’s one staff at the counter, when asked what time the restaurant opens, she yells loudly “11.30!!” We were shocked when we were shouted at. Totally spoilt the mood and decided not to dine there!
Went on a Tuesday, around 7.15 pm. A lot of tables were empty. I was waiting for my friend to arrive. Server came to me and told me that the dining limit was 60 minutes. A little uncalled for but other than that, the dining experience was normal.
The meat and service is horrible. It’s not the usual karubi u ate at those yakiniku chain.
Horrible service. The restaurant had No reception or wifi. Hence u can’t scan QR code to order. So we had to order through the waitress. Which didn’t seem friendly the entire time. Didn’t get our order right. Told her that one set meal is missing. She shrug it off and said that they were low in man power. And she needed to clear the tables.
More than 20mins wait for a glass of iced lemon tea. Service is super slow and staff seems distracted.
Today I went to try to dine in called Yakiniku Shokudo with my brother to eat here. Order my Beef Tom Yam Noodles, Chicken Set and drinks both 7UP both very nice and delicious.Thanks to staff from Yakiniku Shokudo of Lot One. The Malay lady and also Darren served on time.
Terrible business practices. They are charging an additional 7% surcharge during lunar new year. Other restaurants don't do such things. Money face business.
The food portion is smaller than any other yakiniku outlet i have went to, the cut is bad too and the meat taste blend… food keeps sticking to the grill too which dont happen every other time i ate at yakiniku. Service is mid… i understand that food server is not easy but dk why im paying for service charge, just ignore when we call for help and take our plates without even asking… plus we cook our own meat
don’t really have anything nice to say about this place. food is just ok, nothing out of the ordinary. noodles are nothing special too. saw other reviews that the curry rice is quite bad so at least i saved some money not ordering that 😂portions are too small, you will leave feeling unsatisfied unless you order more than one set lol. fyi i ordered the shokudo set (FULL steak). it was $25.90 excluding service charge + GST. ended up being $31+.and service? HAH u think there’s service? staff do the bare minimum of just serving the food to you. didnt inform me that noodles could not be ordered through the phone, had to assume that it was unavailable. only when i asked then i realised it was available. the thing is all this should have been told to us the moment we sat down.so, eh… meh… thats how i would sum up my experience eating here. if you’re reading this, eat somewhere else that is worth your money.
The staff always insists to clear the plates even when we are eating halfway and there is no queue outside the shop. Very rude and disturbing. The elderly lady staff will insist to clear half the plates eaten even when there is no queue outside the shop? Twice this happen to me and I always need to mention that I am still eating and she still said she clear half of the plates ? Even when people still eating she will ask us to take up our rice bowl from the tray and remove the whole tray?This is so disturbing and invasion of privacy. She just appear near you and ask to remove your tray with your rice bowl still on it. Still ask you to lift up your bowl for her to remove the trays.I can understand if it is a crowd and long queue outside but no, the shop was half empty.What is the hurry to chase the customers out when there is no queue and the shop is half empty? Is it the KPI ?A lot of the customers there are affected by her awkward mannerisms….. makes the dining experience awful. This same type of incident happen to my friend too. Other outlets don’t have this problem.They should go for service training if they are in the service line.
Really x. Spend more than $60 for 2 pax and still feeling hungry. We thought $2.90 otak will be a big one but end up it’s those $0.50 one. The $6 chicken is the bigger portion fyi and only a few piece. Beef is too fatty too.
Order using app, basic service. Karubi set pretty decent (pictured is 200g / 2 tier) for $14.90 before gst and service charge

I bought an angus steak which was not sliced properly to be grilled. When I requested for it to be sliced properly, the staff brought me a scissors instead to cut it myself.The food was mediocre and not seasoned properly & overall service staff was rude.Definately will not dine here again
The filipino female manager fired me for apparently "fainting" during work. This shows that she is a person with no compassion. That time I really needed the money and yet she still fire me for doing nothing wrong. I fainted only, not like I fight with customer. She is not fit to be a manager. She should really go back to phillipines and be a stripper instead. What an idiot.

I had dined here more than a few times already. Time to finally write a review piece. It's a simple one, here goes.JFH group, halal yakiniku, amaZING karubi, just go for the normal one, and upsize it, you wouldn't regret it that decision. Normal karubi, not the premium one. You can try, by ordering the duo karubi set.Skip the wagyu (don't expect it to be anywhere close to Miyazaki, the most common wagyu available here). You will bound to compare with the other two yakiniku express concepts that ends with words that sound like 'gold' and 'light'.I just had the Angus steak (available in November 2023) and it was much much better.All set meals come with your choice of meat, rice (can top up $2 to become curry rice during this period, comes in a bigger bowl, doused with curry with beef pieces), soup, kimchi and two dipping sauce.
Service is very fast, my ribeye steak came to my table after I ordered a few minutes ago, Tom yam beef soup noodle is flavourful

Dirty. The seats was splatted with oil and stains when we first shown to our seats.Ordered Hokkaido Beef Curry Rice, goodness I got the shock of my life! The "curry" was so watery it looks like oil. The meat was very hard and full of fats. We had 2 mouths and didn't touch it anymore.Also ordered the Beef Karubi Set, and the meat was full of fats as well. Making the grill fire easily over flamed, thus making the meat very easily burnt. (I am only using fire level 1 or 2 FYI) Is either you had raw meat or over burnt meat. (The only good point that happened in the dining venue is that the staff brings over ices for us to "smoother" the fire.)It was one of the worse dining experiences I ever had for a long while. It leave me and my family a very bad after taste. Will not visit again, sorry.P.S. Sorry no photos as evidences because the meal totally turns me off to even want to snap any pic!

First time at this outlet and portion is bigger than other outlets. Service was quick. Tomyum noodles nice but not the usual thai taste. Beef karubi is the way to go~
Regretted ordering the beef curry rice. The beef is just fats , nothing but just fats.Please order the standard bbq beef. The beef is good for the little price paid. If increase price, then not worth it.
The meat is just mediocre, i’m not really a fan of the condiments too ): Grill catches fire too easily and it was really stressful dining here.Though I have to commend their staff for professionalism when grill catches fire and some customers are inexperienced dealing with such incidents.Food standard can be better, including the Kimchi which has a weird bitter taste.. probably would not come back again.
The Aircon here is cold.... Haha. Good range of meats. I ordered a premium karubi and a yakiniku set with full steak. When ordering the normal karubi, it can be quite fatty. So easy to be burnt. Need to learn how to switch on. But the rest - cooking is straightforward. Fun place for a meal.
Very slow service, we order a grill set and a beef Don. The beef Don take about 45min to arrive as for the food above average. Wouldn't go back
Some of the service staff have a really poor attitude. Unhappily put the glasses on my table and instead of asking us to move the drink glasses when he was serving the food, he just made a face expecting us to know what he wanted us to do. At the table beside us, another staff responded "Ya ya ya wait wait" to an elderly man who wanted a refill for his tea. Been to other outlets and other chains under this group but by far the worst service I've had. Not worth it when you're spending over $100+ for dinner.

Actually we cook our food, that’s no much service rendered from staff but I would suggest some instruction /guidelines can be provided to cook the food to the best taste . Food wise I was pleased , it up to individual grilling skill ..Although that is a bbq place, the aircon is super strong !! Very cold 🥶

The service need to be improved as they didn't inform us that they are closed at 9.30pm. They only mentioned that their last order is at 9pm therefore we have to rush and ate half cooked beef as we are rushing at 9.24pm. When we approach the staff to give feedback to change their timing on google which stated 10pm, they said that they need to do their closing at 9.30pm. Imagine people coming down from work and rush to the location to eat knowing it stated on google that it is close at 10pm and got rejected just because their closing has to be made earlier.
This is for the Northpoint branch. Did not manage to try even tho I was hungry and really wanted yakiniku. Lol the service staff told me I need to queue and wait even though there are empty tables … besides me there’s a couple queuing but quite clearly tables are enough for queue… Asked them why but did not get any logical answer…

I dined at the restaurant last night, and I must say, I was quite disappointed. The portion size was miserable, with just one small steak cut into four pieces for $18.90, excluding GST and service charge. The set included only soup, kimchi, rice, and those 4 tiny meat pieces. Surprisingly, there were no complimentary drinks, and even a simple top-up of kimchi required an additional charge.I understand that there's inflation, but this felt excessively stingy. I couldn't help but wonder what all the hype (finally understood long queues was due to slow service) was about when the portions were so small and the prices so high. After all the GST and service charge, it added up to $25 per person, and I couldn't help but think there are better dining options available for that price.
Honestly was skeptical due to the reviews from others but I honestly say that it is a good quick casual grill style restaurant. Meats were great especially with the sauces . Staff were polite and helpful. Slightly pricey but worth the experience. This is really for those who want to eat grilled food but don’t want to overeat and don’t want to spend so much time.

The marinade of the meat taste exactly like the korean beef bulgogi set that I usually have at the Cantine Food Court.The steak portions were small, beef cuts weren't properly curated. Looked at other patrons wagyu portions, seems like quite lean and thin.Other japanese bbq staples like seasonal mushrooms and vegetable tempura were also not on the menu.It's quite a shame because the staff service experience and restaurant decor/atmosphere was excellent. People actually queue to dine into the restaurant.
Quite mediocre, the tom yum beef noodle is bad - taste like Maggie noodle and was served slightly warm only. Most importantly, it is $17.90 - rather steep price for this qualityThe meat for bbq is ok, but that’s about it and it is also quite common and nothing unique about its flavour.
For the price, the cuts of meats is alright and quantity is good. Recommended to get the set meal with full steak for $25++. Service is okay and food arrived quite fast.
Grilling The Meat In Huge Flames Again Despite The Friendly Staff Changing The Grill Plate Once. Reason Is Because Of The Debris Underneath The Grill Stove Which Caused The Flames. Other Diners Also Encounter Such Problem From What I Observed. Management Should Look Into This Seriously.
